Susan Adams has worked in the legal industry for more than 35 years, with more than 15 years in technical training and trial support. She earned her B.S. degree in business administration, with an emphasis on information technology from the University of Phoenix.
Carol D. Betts has a solo practice in Kirkland, Washington, focused on client centered, non-court resolutions to family law matters including collaborative law, mediation, and co-parent coaching. Prior to launching her solo practice, she spent 10 years at Microsoft supporting Windows and testing Word. Ms. Betts started a solo legal practice in 2001 and began practicing collaborative law in 2007. Since leaving litigation behind in 2012, she has trained continuously on various interest-based dispute resolution processes, developed skill as a co-parenting coach under the tutelage of Karen Bonnell and earned her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) credential in 2021 (now inactive). Ms. Betts is a past chair of the KCBA Collaborative Law Section and Cascadia Collaborative Divorce practice group. She has served on the King County Collaborative Law Board, the WSBA Dispute Resolution Section Executive Committee and is a member of the Microsoft Alumni Association. Ms. Betts is on a continuous quest to keep email from becoming the bane of her existence.
Katie Brown is the associate dean for information resources at Charleston School of Law. Her research and scholarship interests are in the areas of intellectual property, acting skills for lawyers, law and literature, management, and a variety of legal research related topics. Ms. Brown has taught specialized, beginner, and advanced legal research courses and seminars on legal technology for practice, art of advocacy, and contracts. She is a very active member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL). Ms. Brown has participated in a variety of leadership roles throughout the association chapters and special interest sections. She earned her B.F.A. degree from DePaul University, her master's degree in library and information science from the Drexel University iSchool and her J.D. degree from Seattle University School of Law. In 2024, Ms. Brown also received the Inaugural Technology & Ethics Award from the Association of American Law Schools Section on Technology, Law and Legal Education (AALS).
Victoria Lozano is the founder of Plan Forward Legal LLC an estate and business planning law firm in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Lozano practices in the areas of estate planning and trust administration. She is also a founder and consultant with Blue Seven Content- an attorney driven, human curated SEO content company. She earned her bachelor's degree in English from Coastal Carolina University and her master's degree in English from Appalachian State University. Ms. Lozano graduated with her Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She previously lectured at Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina, then went on to hold various positions in the legal field before Founding Blue Seven. Ms. Lozano is affiliated with the Chicago Bar Association, American Bar Association and Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago (LAGBAC).
Jack R. Luellen is special counsel with Buchalter in the firm's Denver office. His practice is primarily dedicated to oil and gas law, with a particular emphasis on litigation. Mr. Luellen earned his B.S. degree, with distinction, from Colorado State University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. He is admitted to practice in California, Colorado, Utah and North Dakota. Mr. Luellen is a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and Energy Mineral Law Foundation.
